5th - 12th grade classes are scheduled by A/B days for yearly classes. Full-time students will take 7-8 full credit courses throughout the year, including Bible. Part-time home school students may choose classes in which they need to earn credit and pay by the class.
Through project-based learning students engage in work that matters to them and to the world outside of school. Students will connect their studies to the world through these projects, community service, internships, and consultation with outside experts.
Juniors and Seniors that meet required test scores on the Trident Technical College placement tests will be able to enroll in dual credit courses on either the Berkeley or Main campus. There may also be options to enroll in dual credit courses at other local colleges. Our administrators will be happy to discuss the options with you and your student so that you can make the best decision.
Every Friday is special at Living Oaks Academy. For 5th - 12th grade, Fridays are reserved for outreach, field trips, shadowing, and special projects, most of which will take place off campus.
For K5-4th grade, Fridays will offer special visitors, hands-on projects, celebration days, and at least one field trip per month with enough parent volunteers.
